Jeff Lehmen, MD

Dr. Jeff Lehmen, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri with a bachelor of science in medicinal chemistry where he received the Top Undergraduate Bachelor of Science Award. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics.

Dr. Lehmen completed a neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts and represented Harvard as a traveling surgeon at Peking University Hospital in Bejing, China. He had an additional minimally invasive spine surgery fellowship with the internationally renowned Neurosurgeon, Luiz Pimenta, MD, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is board certified in spine surgery.

David Raskas, MD

Dr. Raskas has over twenty years of experience in treating back and neck issues and has improved the lives of many. Positive end results begin with an accurate and thorough examination along with the most innovative techniques. His focus is to improve patients’ symptoms and restore their lifestyle. Dr. Raskas received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine, and completed his internship in general surgery at University of Michigan Medical Center Ann Arbor, MI and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, MI. He completed a fellowship in spine surgery at UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles CA. Dr. Raskas is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Armond Levy, MD

Dr. Armond (Ari) Levy was born and raised in Eastern Pennsylvania. He went to college and medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, graduating from medical school in 1994. He served a one-year surgical internship at Brown University, and then a one-year cerebrovascular research fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

In 1996, Dr. Levy returned to St. Louis for his neurosurgical residency training at St. Louis University, finishing in 2001. From 2002 to 2004, Dr. Levy resided in Indianapolis, completing further fellowship training.

Again, Dr. Levy returned to St. Louis in 2004 for neurosurgical practice with the Microsurgery and Brain Research Institute,  primarily working at St. Anthony's Medical Center until 2009, when he transitioned his practice to SSM's St. Clare Health Center. At both hospitals, he co-founded Stroke Centers with comprehensive interventional stroke care.

In October, 2014, Dr. Levy left SSM to open his own practice, St. Louis Neurosurgery, LLC. His professional interests remain committed to cerebrovascular disease, including stroke, aneurysms, vascular malformations, and carotid disease, as well as complex and minimally invasive spinal surgery, and general neurosurgical practice.

Tony Chien, DO

Dr. Chien is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.  He graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internship and Residency at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.  He received his undergraduate education at University of California at Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Chien treats a wide variety of orthopedic problems, including arthritis, trauma, sports injuries, hand and foot problem, fractures and occupational injuries.  He performs arthroscopic repair as well as total joint replacement for the finger, toe, elbow, shoulder, hip and knee.  He is dedicated to the treatment of lower back pain and provides a wide variety of spine procedures for all of his patients, both noninvasive and invasive. His specialties include herniated disc, osteoporosis, spinal stenosis, fractures and degenerative conditions of the lumbar and thoracic spine.

Joseph Yazdi, MD

Dr. Joseph Yazdi is a board-certified neurosurgeon who has been in private practice since 2001. He graduated from Hahnemann University Medical School (now known as Drexel University Medical School) and completed five years of Neurosurgical residency at Hahnemann University Hospital. He completed the last two years of his residency at UMDNJ (now known as Rutgers University Medical School).He has been performing minimally invasive spinal surgeries since 2004. He also specializes in pain management performing injections not only in the spine but also in various joints in the body such as shoulders, hips, and knees.
